Grammer becomes strategic supplier to Hyster-Yale's global forklift platform

Amberg, June 2, 2020 - Grammer AG, an international manufacturer of seating systems for the commercial vehicle sector, has agreed a strategic partnership with one of the leading manufacturers of material handling systems. For example, Grammer will produce the seats for the new forklift platform from the Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. for the European and US markets. The company Hyster-Yale, headquartered in the USA, is one of the leading and global full-service providers of industrial trucks with a variety of customer-oriented solutions for material transport.

International presence and top quality 
The new generation of forklifts from the Hyster-Yale Group is equipped with innovative seating solutions from Grammer. These are characterized by high comfort and special ergonomic functions. The seats are manufactured locally at Grammer locations in both regions. This regional structure and the associated high level of flexibility while ensuring uniform quality standards in the Grammer factories were decisive for the order from Hyster-Yale.

 

Established supplier for global producers
With the new partnership, Grammer will further expand its position in this segment in the USA in the coming years. Part of Grammer's growth strategy is to supply customers across national borders with products and innovations of the same quality. The new organization enables an even better coordination by the globally operating division with the corresponding customer management, whereas local proximity and flexibility are ensured by the regionally managed plants. In this interplay, the functions of the Grammer Group perceive uniform quality standards and the exchange of best practices across the regions.
